HACC Development Officers (HACC DOs) are located in most areas of NSW. Rather than offer direct support services to HACC clients, HACC DOs resource and support HACC funded projects. They act as a link to other non.HACC service providers in the community care service sector, often ensuring the HACC voice is represented on regional bodies, task forces and initiatives. They support the implementation of funding body initiatives, such as quality assurance processes, at the coal face by providing information and assistance to individual HACC funded projects and local groupings of services. As such, they have a unique and valuable overview of the whole community care sector and its responses to complex issues.
