NSW AGED CARE ALLIANCE ADVISES ON DISABILITY/AGED CARE SPLIT In October 2005, The NSW Premier’s Office asked the NSW Aged Care Alliance for advice on the upcoming decisions regarding potential major structural change to aged care and community care programs which are currently jointly administered and funded by the Australian and state and territory governments. On 10th February 2006, the Council of Australian Governments (COAG) will decide whether to continue with existing arrangements or to split responsibility between levels of government. In advance of the COAG meeting, the Aged Care Alliance produced a paper outlining their position on the issue, which also includes advice from the NSW HACC Issues Forum and the NSW Aboriginal Community Care Gathering Committee.   View Document
